By 1910 they had made it out to Oklahoma and was living in Pittsberg County, Dewar Township.
It was sometime after that Daniel met my great grandmother Kate McKee and they got married, I have not been able to find a marriage
certificate on them ,and Greenberry's family grew by 2 more children Ruby and Pearl.
Greenberry worked as a Engineer and Daniel worked as a Laborer in the coal mines.

By the 1920's Greenberry was still living in Dewar with Letta and they had two more children, Lula and Robert. They had Seven children all in all and four of them passed away from various things. She was 56 when her youngest Robert was born.

Robert Eugene Jenkins

Gary Bert Jenkins Sr.

Greenberry and Leta's son Robert and his family were involved in a car accident, Robert suffered many broken bones, and was left crippled for life, his son Gary was thrown from the car and suffered a broken nose, and Roberts wife, Ruby Pearl Varnado-Hannah Jenkins, passed away. Out of the 8 people involved in the accident, Robert and Gary were the only survivors.

Gary Bert and Elizabeth Betty Yust Jenkins
Gary grew up and married, he was blessed with a large family of 11 children and a lovely wife Betty. He is the one who passed this information
along to me, to add to the family history.

I have been blessed this year and met my cousin Gary and Betty Jenkins from Oklahoma and his family, for whom I wouldn't have received all this
information to start and update my web page. He told me some stories that I'm going to be putting on this page, along with some of the pictures I
have gotten from them.

During the flood of 1951, Jay Shellman Pearls husband helped grandpa move their funiture up to the roof of the house, which was in the NW part of
town. The house flooded but the funiture survived. Grandpa and Grandma then moved to the east side of town after a tornado picked up the house,
which grandma was in turn it around. The door that faced west now was facing the south. She always got in her goose down feather mattress bed,
when a storm would come up because nothing could hurt her there, that what she told them.

Letta,Vicki,Wilma Lee, Bert,and Jeanette

Grandpa was always in a cellar when a storm came through. The tornado broke the power lines to the house. Inside the house was a 3 legged table next
to her bed with a glass of water, which didn't spill a drop, and the family Bible, it didn't hurt anything inside or break a window in the house. They moved
and ended up on B SE where they lived until their death.

Gary,Lettie,and Greenberry on 75th Anniversary

Gary remembered my grandparents, Percy and Oma Burrows and the chilli they made. It would take all day as he would smoke a roast and chop it up He also
worked with the railroad. Grandpa Greenberry didn't like Dan Jr. much as he never came around them except to show off something new he had, because he
thought he was better then everyone else. Infact he came to the anniversary celebrationand grandpa said,"there's that sob"
and made him leave.

When Gary lived with them his aunts and uncles were in their 60's and 70's. He remembered when anna Mae came over grandma would get tired of her
stirring everyone up,and she would tell her" I smell the beans burning at your house" and she would leave mumbling. Anna Mae also had a chimp named
Butch that ate at the table and wore clothes. Grandma Letta wouldn't let him sit at the the table to eat.

Ruby and Pearl Jenkins

Pearle was killed in the early 60's in Utah in a 20 car pileup. Billy Jay's baby girl was also killed. They were buried together in the same casket.

They were in an Econoline Ford van where the windshield was right in front. I remember the vans because my dad had one when he was in tv repair business.

Grandma and Grandpa had all their wits about them when they died. She always claimed to be German Irish and he was Welsh Irish, grandma had red hair
and green eyes and so did Robert. Gary remembers well how grandpa would run to the neighbor's cellar and pump it out when a storm came up. That is
what caused him to catch pneumonia, which caused his death

He was wiry and could hold his own. Grandma had a cane and would goose grandpa every chance she got. She took assafidiy and cascade whiskey when
she had "heart" problems. To this day they do not know what it was composed of. It also helped colds.

She would rock in her chair, humming and piecing quilts. All hand sewn, pieces by piece. Then she would make another and hand-sew them together.
She had bacon and eggs with pancakes every morning all her life. In fact she slipped on a piece of bacon and broke her hip, which ultimately led to
her death.

It took Gary 3 days to walk there and the Dr pronounced her dead 3 or 4 times, she told him she wasn't dead she was waiting on Gary and that Grandpa
was at the foot of her bed waiting for her, she told the Doctor that Gary was there, he said how do you know, and she replied that Grandpa told her.
Gary came into the room a few minutes later, much to the shock of the doctor. She talked to Gary, sighed and passed
away.

They out-lived all but 1 or 2 of their kids, which to me was sad. Grandpa was a character, but well liked by everyone here in town. They were poor, but
didn't realize it and were good people. Gary said one day he came home grandpa and grandma were eating sandwiches mady from "kennedy" meat and for
him to get himself a sandwich. He went into the kitchen and made himself a sandwich when he realized it was Alpo dog food. Said it wasn't bad tasting
it tasted like potted meat giggle.
