     In 1804 they went south and settled on Chickasaw Indian land, just west of the Madison County,line.   This area was part of the Mississippi Territory, and bacame the State of Alabama, in 1819

     By July that same year, when the census were done, Edward had moved his family to Walker Coutny,Jasper Alabama, and settled in the northwest part of the county, about amile west of Wolf Creek.
     The two closest towns for years were Berry in Fayette County, and Oakman ("called Day Gap" in those days.)

     Edward and Jane's family grew in numbers, the following years.

     But before the census were done in 1860 they had 3 children die before maturity.

     This was the starting of Frost Cemetery in Corona Alabama.
       

     The family started growing smaller by 1860,the older one's married and started their own family. Edward bought land adding parcels,along the way,eventually owning (app) 300 acres.
   He ran a griss mill located on a creek that ran through his land and also farmed.
It's still showned on the County Map as "Frost Creek".  
A few years later after the war,Edward filed a claim with the Southren Claims Commision skeeing a 150.00 payment for a horse and saddle taken from him by the Union forces in early 1865.

In a deposition filed with this claim he stated he was a loyal Unionist, and who know it may be true, then again maybe not.   After all he was asking for money from the Goverment.

Were married in Washington County, Virginia on October 3, 1791 by the Rev. John Frost.

She is the daughter of Cornelius Frost and Mary Hart Benton Frost.

Edward Sr. farmed in Madison County, until 1826, when they moved to Morgan County, Alabama near the prest town of Falkville.
In 1832 a large area in the East of Alabama was open for sale and settlement.   Edward Jr was one of a hundreds of people, who went to the area and bought land.   He bought 40 acres in Talladega County.

were married in 1833 and together they had one son Levi in 1834 and Elizabeth died shortly after.
So Ned sold his land and moved back to his parents farm in Morgan County, with his young son.

     There he met Jane Jennie Jenkins daughter of Lewis Jenkins and Mary (Sanders) Jenkins, they were neighbors to Edwards parents.

Were married on the 22 of February 1838
     She had a young son Lewis who was born on 21 July 1835
In 1861 the Civil War started and 4 of his son's join.
joined the Confederate Army
And
joined on the Union side, late in the war.
I found my great grandfather Louis in the 1870 Walker County,
Census.   His occupation was listed as Black Smith and his age was 35.    They had his wife name wrong it was Sarah, when it should have been Susan.
Edward died on October 4, 1875 before a mining community of West Corona, that was developed around his home.    His wife Jane was by his side and in the next census she was living with her son Lewis.

1880 Lewis was listed at 50 and Susan 35, their family became bigger.

Jane died in 1890, 15 years after Edward and 5 years before her son Lewis, who died in 1895

was in the 1900 Census she had  8 out of 13 children living was in the small town of Townley, Jasper Alabama with her son Sidney A.    He was 18 and working in the coal mines

It was real hard to find.   I had to go up a hill just out
side of Corona, it wasn't marked so I messed it several
times.

Archive.   It's full has a lot of information  about him.
