My Mother
Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My mother.

This page is in memory of my best friend, my mother Katie Burrows Mangum who went to be with the Lord on Christmas Eve 2006. She was one of the people who got me involved in searching for my roots with all the wild stories she told. The other person was my baby brother Harold who started doing the researching, then turned it over to me with the information he found. Little did you know baby brother that I would get bitten by the "Bug", Genealogy Bug that is, and continue with the searching..
I love you momma and look forward to seeing you at Heaven's table dinning with Our Father Jesus, and his host of angels singing.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he prasies.
Proverbs 31:28
Mothers are the gardeners
Of wind-blown wild flowers.
They water them with happy tears,
Happy with them many years,
Even as the hours.
Ring with sweet, sad melodies
Sighing through their bowers.
